Let’s say they return 12 times per year and stay with you for 2 years … on average. This means your regular customer is worth $25 x 12 x 2 = $600 in profit to your business.

You can use this method in any business – hairdressers, real estate, chiropractic, car sales, computers, plumbers… it applies for any business. When you know the life time value of your average customer, you know how much you can afford to spend to acquire new customers!

Here’s another example: hairdressers. Listen up. To get new more customers, most salons place ads in magazines, print up glossy brochures and offer weak discount specials like 10 or 20% off. Often the results are poorer than poor.

Is there a better way? You bet. Do you remember Stefan Ackerie of Stefan’s Hair Salon fame? He owned a chain of hair salons across Australia some years ago. Anyway, Stefan was a smart cookie. He knew the average client spent $25 each visit, of which, $17 was real profit. Client’s returned 10 times a year for 4 years , on average. Total profit: $17 x 10 x 4 = $680.

Knowing these figures do you think Stefan ran the same old tired promotions? Not a chance in hell! He gave away FREE style cuts to anybody he could. Read the staggering statistics courtesy of a RealtyTrac, below is a "Heatmap," showing the foreclosure filings on a per capita basis. The Redder the state, the more per capita filings there are. Even If your state is not fiery red there are still many opportunities for you to cash in on this foreclosure tsunami.

Also, keep in mind that these numbers are based on RealtyTrac's Q4 report and so to get a better idea of the kind of numbers we are looking for your particular state or town you would find that number below and multiply it by three.

Kind of surprising the way the concentration turns out, right? Colorado leads the nation, followed by Nevada, with Texas and Florida not too far behind.

RealtyTrac(TM) (http://www.realtytrac.com/), the leading online marketplace for foreclosure properties, today released year-end data (Q4) from its 2006 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, which shows more than 1.2 million foreclosure filings were reported nationwide during the year, up 42 percent from 2005 and a foreclosure rate of one foreclosure filing for every 92 U.S. households.

"While foreclosures are not at historically high levels, a 42 percent year-over-year increase is certainly noteworthy," said James J. Saccacio, chief executive officer of RealtyTrac.

"The increase in the number of properties in foreclosure was driven partly by the general slowing of overall housing sales, and partly by the impact of monthly mortgage payments increasing dramatically for homeowners who held some of the riskier types of adjustable rate and sub-prime mortgages.

As more and more of these loans re-set, we saw a surge to finish the year, with the fourth quarter producing more foreclosure filings than any of the three previous quarters."

The number of total foreclosure filings rose from about 885,000 in 2005 to 1,259,118 in 2006. While that is a substantial increase, it is still within the scope of normal historical averages, according to Saccacio.

Colorado, Georgia, Nevada post highest foreclosure rates
Colorado documented the nation's highest state foreclosure rate for the year, one foreclosure filing for every 33 households -- or 3 percent of the state's households.

The state reported a total of 54,747 foreclosure filings during the year, an 85 percent increase from 2005 and the eighth highest total among all the states.

Georgia and Nevada both reported one foreclosure filing for every 41 households in 2006, but Georgia edged out Nevada with a slightly higher percentage of households in foreclosure -- 2.5 percent compared to 2.4 percent in Nevada.

Georgia reported a total of 75,975 foreclosure fil ings during the year, the sixth most of any state and a 67 percent year-over-year increase. Nevada foreclosures surged in fourth quarter, pushing the state's total for the year to 21,045 -- nearly three times the number reported in 2005.

Other states with foreclosure rates among the nation's 10 highest included Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, Utah and Tennessee.
Texas, California, Florida report biggest foreclosure totals

Texas reported 156,876 foreclosure filings for the year, the most of any state and nearly 13 percent of the national total. The state consistently reported big foreclosure numbers throughout 2006, documenting the highest monthly total eight times, and foreclosures for the year were up more than 14 percent from 2005.

Texas' foreclosure total represented nearly 2 percent of the state's households -- or one foreclosure filing for every 51 households -- giving the state the nation's fourth highest state foreclosure rate.

Rising foreclosure activity in the fourth quarter pushed California's 2006 foreclosure total to second highest among the states. The state reported 142,429 foreclosure filings during the year, more than twice the number reported in 2005 and accounting for more than 11 percent of the national total.

California's 2006 foreclosure rate of one foreclosure filing for every 86 households -- or 1.2 percent of households -- ranked 14th among the states Florida foreclosure activity remained relatively flat in 2006, up just 2 percent from 2005, but the state's foreclosure total still placed third highest among all the states.

Florida reported 124,721 foreclosure filings during the year, a foreclosure rate of one foreclosure filing for every 59 households -- or 1.7 percent of households. The state's foreclosure rate dropped to seventh highest in 2006 after claiming the top spot in 2005.

Other states with 2006 foreclosure totals among the nation's 10 highest included Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, New York and Indiana.

Detroit, Atlanta, Indianapolis report highest metro foreclosure rates.
With an average of more than 10,000 foreclosure filings in each quarter, Detroit documented the highest annual foreclosure rate among the nation's 100 largest metropolitan statistical areas.

Foreclosure filings in the city represented 4.9 percent of all households -- or one foreclosure filing for every 21 households. The city's foreclosure rate was 4.5 times the national average.

Atlanta's 2006 foreclosure total of 63,737 represented 4.4 percent of the city's households -- second highest among the top 100 MSAs and more than four times the national average.

Consistently high foreclosure filings throughout the year helped the Atlanta's foreclosure rate rank in the number-two spot despite never being higher than third place in any quarter.

Indianapolis foreclosures decreased in the second, third and fourth quarters, but the city still documented the nation's third highest metro foreclosure rate -- with total foreclosure filings representing 4.3 percent of all households.

Other cities with foreclosure rates among the nation's 10 highest were Denver, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Memphis, Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

This was terrible, how did I ever get myself into this situation I thought? My friends started ignoring my phone calls, and no on seemed to care that I fell down a pit and hit bottom.

Then I said enough is enough I will take the next job I see. I figured I hit bottom, and I could not fall any further. The only thing left to do is pull myself out of this pit even if it killed me.

So as I sat in my apartment trying to find a job I saw a garbage truck picking up trash in my complex. On the side was a banner that said now hiring. So I called the number right away and told them I wanted to work as soon as possible.

I had an interview setup and went in thinking to myself.... oh my god I am about to become a garbage man... I made fun of those guys my entire life, now look at me!

Sure enough they needed some good pick up guys and I guess I qualified. I took some safety courses and before I knew it I was picking up your trash.

The first few weeks seemed awesome. I drove around on the garbage truck finding all sorts of treasures people threw away. Occasionaly I would grab copper piping to bring into the recyling plant. They paid a decent penny for those copper pipes.

Then my route was switched. I went from collecting garbage in a city neighborhood to collecting garbage in the suburbs.

Picking up garabage at these houses made me depressed. Here I was standing on the curb throwing away someones garbage who was living the life I wanted.

At times I would catch myself staring at these massive houses, luxury cars, and stay at home parents.

How In The World Can People Afford Those Houses I Thought To Myself!

I would drag myself from house to house just thinking about living inside one of those places, driving that fancy sports car, or just sitting on the lawn enjoying the day.

I caught myself day dreaming as I heard someone yelling "HEY HEY WAIT I HAVE SOME MORE GARBAGE FOR YOU GUYS!"

Sure enough here comes this young "kid" probably 26 rolling a garbage can and a bag full of something out of this huge house. The house must have been 3,500 sq feet or more.

He brought the garbage can to the curb and we dumped it in, then he threw a bag at me. I dropped the bag because I wasn't expecting it to weigh as much as it did.

He then said wait, before you throw that out why don't you take it home and read it... and then laughed and said oh yeah you're a garbage man you dont know how to read... and walked away.

That Was The Most Important Day Of My Life, And Changed Me Forever!

After a long week of exhausting garbage collecting I finally had a day off. I woke up and decided to finally take a look at some of those books in the bag the guy was throwing out.

Anyway sorry for rambling on! My name is Kathy Garcia and that is my beautiful daughter Stella (my husband Dennis took our picture). She is the very reason you are seeing this website right now! I want to tell you my story first and why I'm even on this webpage! It all began quietly one evening back when I was two and half months pregnant at home, sipping on a cup of coffee, the tv news on in the background, and my laptop in front of me. All of a sudden the phone rang and it was my husband saying that he had to work late and apologized (in a very sweet tone) that he couldn't be home for dinner! I hung up sad because he wasn't going to be there but I knew he was just doing what he had to so we could pay the bills!

I just hated waking up to the alarm clock and having to run around in traffic, trying to shove a bagel in my mouth while holding the steering wheel fighting traffic and changing lanes. I was so done with all of that!

And That's Not Even the Half of It...

I can remember that day like it was yesterday as I sat there thinking about my baby (we hadn't thought of the name Stella yet) I knew that deep down I didn't want to go back to work after she was born. As the days ticked by this really started to weigh heavily on me. I would get all teary-eyed and burst out crying uncontrollably because staying home with Stella is all I wanted to do and I felt it stronger than ever before now.

Not to mention that I was so tired of struggling just too barely keep up with the bills. Isn't there more to life than bills, work and worrying about money? I Was So Desperate to Find a Solution...

Because I certainly know there's a lot of people that are staying at home and making money! That made me even more curious about it! Heck, with all of the technology and us being in the information age and home offices, I knew it was possible! But there was a catch! You had to know how to do it and that was the hard part. I always wondered how others we're doing it!

So I did what anyone else would do, I hopped on to the computer to start my journey on how to do it. At that point as you can imagine I was fairly encouraged. Has this ever happened to you? I started getting down on myself! Thinking things like maybe now wasn't a good time to bring a baby into this world. Then I started getting a migraine headache thinking about "junk" that hasn't even happened yet. Definitely not good!

But don't tell him that because I don't want to go back and have to apologize to him.

It's very disappointing to see all of the scams and get rich quick schemes on the Internet nowadays that don't work! Some of them are hilarious too! I mean ones that say you can get rich, with no-selling, no products and never having to speak to anyone! Yeah right! You'd probably have better luck finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!

Sadly, after several months of staying up all hours of the night doing my red-eyed research I started to get pretty good at this. What do I mean by that? I could actually look at a website or read about an opportunity and could tell whether it was real or not. Let me explain! I could almost smell an opportunity that sounded to good to be true because it was trumpeting such outrageous claims! I learned to spot what I called the "hype words" in a headline and the promise of fast riches. Let me show you what I mean, things like...

I really would laugh at all of those "cheesy" sites with exotic sports cars, jets, yachts, and money popping out of the screen of a computer or falling from somewhere. C'mon get real - that's all I wanted was something real! Especially funny were all of those bogus review sites! I found out almost all of those were scams actually promoting the scam! I got tired of all the fast-buck artists who are just out to suck your wallet dry! It burns ulcers in my stomach just thinking about it! I never want to be haunted by any of those websites again! If you are here now reading this you should know exactly what I'm talking about.

Anyway enough about all of that. Just a quick dose of reality and I think I've made my point! So what exactly did I decide and find?
