A LONG CANDLE represents a price movement which is strong, and quick. Hence the name of this Course.

Got the direction of the trade 100% right and there was no strength or drive behind the move and it after 15 pips.  This often happens when using techniques which make you spend 90% of your effort on the direction and no effort on measuring the potential push or drive.   Also,....What’s the use of getting the direction right if the price is going to take 2 days to reach the target? SELL and BUY orders cause the price to go up or down. BULL traders want the market to go up. BEAR traders want the market to go down. That what makes the market what it is.

The BULL participants use BUY orders as they think areas where they areas where they think the think the price will go downprice will go down..

The BEAR participants use SELL orders as they think in areas where they think the price will go up.

LONG CANDLES happen when the BULLS and BEARS agree on the direction that the price will move at certain price levels.

Why does this happen?

There is a flood of the same type of orders from both groups at
the same time!! All these orders in the same direction cause
the price to move quickly and far.

REVERSE ENGINEERING: How this approach was created

This trading technique has been developed in a unique way.  5 years ago we identified that we wanted to trade long candles. A quick move in the market. Rather than looking for a particular technique first, we took a reverse engineering approach.   We firstly looked at the trading charts and identified all the 60 pip 1 hour candles that  occurred over a period of 6 months for 3 currencies (GBPUSD, EURUSD and USDJPY).

When you have a number of students to help, this exercise becomes a little easier. We
then gathered key information about each candle, such as, the exact time of the day it
occurred, noted any economic announcements that may have happened and the exact size
and strength of the +60pip trend etc. This supplied fantastic information regarding the
time and events that made these candles occur. This alone was worth all the work.

We then took it so much further. We looked at all the trading signals that occurred just
before the candle trend. We looked at the support and resistance levels that were in
place to tell why the candle started where it did and stopped where it did. More importantly
we looked at the trading triggers (opposed to signals) that would activate a trade into
the candle trend. The information again was incredible. We found that 1 leading indicator
gave a trading trigger in 90% of the time! Further there was only a handful of
trading signals supporting these moves. (Trading signals give supporting evidence of a likely
transaction; the Trigger is the event that activates the transaction) 

So rather than complicating the process we found a simplified approach using
conventional trading methods and found a simple trading trigger that applied to 90%
of long candles.

How often do the long candles occur in the Forex Market?

shows how often hour candle for some of the major currencies during 2008 (147 days up to the end of July in 2008), the 40 pip moves on a 30 minute candles are also shown.

That’s right:-  there are more than 30 opportunities a day to use the

Let’s say they return 12 times per year and stay with you for 2 years … on average. This means your regular customer is worth $25 x 12 x 2 = $600 in profit to your business.

You can use this method in any business – hairdressers, real estate, chiropractic, car sales, com­puters, plumbers… it applies for any business. When you know the life time value of your average customer, you know how much you can afford to spend to acquire new customers! 

Here’s another example: hairdressers. Listen up. To get new more customers, most salons place ads in magazines, print up glossy brochures and offer weak discount specials like 10 or 20% off. Often the results are poorer than poor.

Is there a better way? You bet. Do you remember Stefan Ackerie of Stefan’s Hair Salon fame? He owned a chain of hair salons across Australia some years ago. Anyway, Stefan was a smart cookie. He knew the average client spent $25 each visit, of which, $17 was real profit. Client’s returned 10 times a year for 4 years , on average. Total profit: $17 x 10 x 4 = $680.

Knowing these figures do you think Stefan ran the same old tired promotions? Not a chance in hell! He gave away FREE style cuts to anybody he could. You see, he also knew 50% of people who received a free style cut became regular customers. So for the initial investment of $8 in labour costs, he was able to make a profit of $680 over the next four years! And if he serviced these clients well, they in turn, told their friends.

Open the yellow pages to a section, any section. It doesn’t matter. Take a close look at the advertise­ments and tell me what you see.

Learning to play the guitar can be one of the most rewarding things you ever do in your life. It can also be one of the most frustrating things.

See if this sounds familiar? You tried a guitar course but it didn't teach you what you really wanted to learn. Or the course was for beginners and didn't teach you advanced techniques. I'll start at the beginning. There I was five years ago, giving private lessons and teaching students to play guitar. Then a friend asked me to teach him to play, and as he was getting into internet marketing he suggested that I consider putting my lessons online. Blogging Pays For New Car AND House

While everyone needs money to survive, making money isn't an end in itself - it's the choices and freedom that money can give you that I value.

 

In 2007 I realised two of my dreams - I bought a brand new car and purchased my own house - all from the proceeds of blogging!

 

I'm not the kind of person to go for luxury or sports cars, but I hate hunting around for second hand cars too. Thanks to the money I made blogging, I was able to purchase a brand new Suzuki Swift with tinted windows, safety pack and rust proofing as extras. I paid $25,000 cash in one full payment.

Buying a car was a great feeling, but it didn't compare to experiencing what most people consider a lifelong dream (it's the "Australian Dream" too) - to buy my own home.

I purchased a near-new, 3 bedroom, two story townhouse in my home city of Brisbane, just 15 minutes drive from the center of the city. The house has a gas kitchen, back garden, large living area, garage, air conditioning and it's very modern - I love it! Here's a photo of the outside:
